Mahjong!
One of my favorite things to do with gal pals is to play Mahjong. It’s all the rage, and for good reason. It keeps me connected with my friends, off our devices, and our minds sharp. Here are a few places I’d like to try this summer.

They have free social play on Mondays at Lockwood, as well as ClubMahj with playing locations at Lockwood, Oak Highlands Brewery, and Las Lomas. *Special side note: if you have kids interested in learning, they even have a Mahj 080 Summer Camp in July and August.*
Check out @vivisrichardson on Instagram to find their upcoming mahjong events and classes. You can learn the game from mahjong instructors as well as join in their open play. If those options don’t work with your schedule, you can always rent the space out to play with friends or host your own event!
Take your tiles and your friends to Lockwood Distillery for a game with friends. The square tables fit a Mahj game set up perfectly and you can order food and drinks, and nibble and play simultaneously!
