HOW DOES BEST OF RICHARDSON WORK?

• Nomination Period (April 1 – April 30, 2025):
  • This is your chance to nominate your favorite local businesses, people, and places in Richardson.
  • Nominations are write-ins only.
  • You can nominate once per day, per category, by visiting the Best of Richardson
• Nominee Selection:
  • After the nomination period closes, the top three nominees in each category will advance to the voting round.
  • These nominees are determined by the highest number of write-in nominations received.
• Voting Period (June 1 – June 30, 2025):
  • Now, it’s time to vote for the finalists!
  • Visit Best of Richardson to cast your votes.
  • You can vote once per day, per category.
• Winners Announced:
  • Winners of the Best of Richardson 2025 will be featured in the August 2025 issue of Richardson Life Magazine and at a Best of Awards event in late August.
  • Winners will also be revealed in late August online, once the magazine reaches homes.
• Important Notes:
  • Nominations and votes are based on public input. Advertising does not guarantee a win.
  • To make nominations clearer, please when possible, be as specific as possible.
  • Check Richardson Life Magazine online or in print for announcements and updates.

• Is it free to participate? There is no cost for businesses to be nominated/listed.
• How do I get exposure for my business? Advertise!  Ads on the online ballot and in Richardson Life Magazine increase visibility but don’t guarantee wins. Learn More by viewing our Best of Business Kit.
• Why isn’t my nomination showing? Nomination round winners are private until the voting round begins. The top 3 businesses per category will advance. When nominating, be specific. For example: “John at The Watering Hole,” not just “John.”
• Who’s Eligible to Win? Open to Richardson Businesses only.
• Why does it ask me to register? Register to save your nominations/votes.
• Login Issues? Check spam, ensure emails aren’t blocked, or email mobert@hylogroup.com
• Why Create an Account? To prevent fraud & allow you to return to the ballot.
• Who’s featured in the August issue of RLM? Readers’ Choice winners & 2 runners-up per category, plus Editors’ Choice winners.
• When are the Finalists/Winners Notified? Nomination round finalists will be notified in May; Voting round winners will be notified in July and featured in the August Issue of Richardson Life Magazine. Fill out the status request form if you haven’t been contacted.
